WHITE CO.—Illinois State Police has gotten crash information to us from an incident that occurred at about 6:25 this morning, Thursday, May 30.
At that time, a driver of a 2007 Freightliner semi tractor-trailer, William Trusell, 63, of Carthage, North Carolina, was westbound on I-64 in White County when he attempted to leave the interstate at the exit 130 and ran off the left side of the exit ramp before traveling down an embankment and overturning.
He was transported by White County Ambulance Service to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
Illinois Department of Transportation, White County Ambulance and Rick’s Towing assisted ISP at the scene.
