LAWRENCE CO.—Yes, it’s a play on words. But here’s a “quick” report on Lawrence County prosecutor Chris Quick, who was injured yesterday (03.28.13) during an altercation with Lawrence County deputy Dennis York: Xrays taken last night in Terre Haute show that there is no broken bone in Quick’s right hand. The injury sustained when Quick’s hand was slammed into the locking mechanism of the double doors leading into his office is considered a “jam” injury and while painful and will take a long time to heal, at least there are no breaks.
The incident remains under investigation by Illinois State Police District 12 in Effingham, which covers Lawrence County.
