SLOW POST APOLOGIES; WORKING ON THE SPECIAL EDITION

Yes. Granny. We've been waiting for that all day too.

Yes. Granny. We've been waiting for that all day too.

The June Special Edition is scheduled to hit the stands on Wednesday and Thursday June 1 and 2. We're hard at work on it, and as a result, we've not had a lot of time to interact with you, nor to put up posts on this rather slow news/holiday weekend.

This particular issue is the one carrying the follow up piece to the Pendleton matter that unfolded in Pope County two weeks ago. And we just got that one placed to the page last night. It's 8,000 words long. Many of these words you've seen here at the site in one form or another. But many, you won't have seen anywhere...because no one else was or is carrying the information we've found as it pertains to this story.

The publication of this issue will be delayed by a day due to the holiday. This is the first year we've had to contend with that; but that's just the way the Special Edition fell; in order for us to get other things done this month (including a second paper on June 22), this is the date we had to select, and rather than get the paper out four days early, we opted for one day late. Therefore, deliveries will commence early Wednesday morning, same time the subs will be mailed; and we'll pick up everyone Thursday that we couldn't catch on Wednesday.

We have new vendors you need to be aware of: This past month, we picked up Ridgway Quik Mart, under new management, in Ridgway in Gallatin County, for starters. Then for the North Counties area, we've established MotoMart in Effingham last week as a new vendor. Last but certainly not least, we're thrilled to announce our first Pope County vendor, Golconda Gas & Go, right there on North Adams Street. WELCOME VENDORS!! Readers, for vendors nearest you, hit this link. You can also subscribe to the print version at the same link, and if you want to read the e-Edition right here on your computer or handheld, hit this link...the e-Edition will also be delayed a day this time, incidentally; it'll begin posting at 8 p.m. TUESDAY night instead of Monday.

We appreciate everyone's readership and continued support. Help us out on this busy weekend for us by clicking around the site, clicking through links, making sure you see a tab for our site and keep it up in the background, running (it helps us to just keep a screen up, all day, as long as your computer stays on...it does, especially if you use Firefox as a browser and it constantly refreshes). Same thing for our social networking pages - Facebook main, Disclosure Heartland, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest - mark them as your favorites, and like, favorite or +1 our posts anytime you see one, as well as sharing them across YOUR social networking. Every little bit helps.

We'll likely be back with some news here at the site as soon as we get the rest of the front- and back-pagers done (which this issue, are coming out of Saline County, Richland County, Lawrence/Jasper counties, and Clay counties, and includes a big meth roundup in the Olney area.) Inside stories are a full, complete rundown of the Saline County grand jury including two indictees who have since been rounded up of the three missing on May 17; a big mess in Clark County you're not going to even believe; and something out of Hardin that just broke this past week.

Follow us. Like us. Share us. Read us. Subscribe to us. You WON'T be disappointed; we're dedicated to bringing you the news in a way that no one else in the state wants to do, question the authorities in a way no one else can due to the fear the authorities inspire, and call em as we see em. We've done it for more than a decade; help us stick around another 13 years or more, with your SUPPORT.
