UPDATE 7:05—FIRE HAS BEEN DECLARED OUT; RAIN IS SETTING IN.
ELDORADO—We don’t know much about this fire right now, except that it’s in the vicinity of the old reservoir, and earlier reports indicated that it was threatening the home of a former doctor out that way, the old Dr. Denton Ferrell home that Leon Russell (owner of ROC convenience stores) bought, however, an update has it that the fire is moving into the woods and away from the home. Responders are on scene to fight it; dozers are making paths through the woods for the fire trucks to get back to the fire to fight it.
Fire departments that responded to this huge field fire were Shawneetown, Equality, Ridgway, Harrisburg and Galatia. GOOD JOB TO ALL!
