CRAWFORD CO., Ill—A Robinson man have been charged with a sex crime in which it’s alleged he committed sexual misconduct against a young male family member.
David Cravens, 34, was arrested Thursday (August 21) after a warrant was issued on information of the alleged misconduct.
The charge is that of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, aggravated because of the boy’s age (which specifics have not been given, but he’s under the age of 18) and the fact that he’s a family member.
The charge alleges inappropriate touching, and is a Class 2 felony.
Cravens is a familiar name in Crawford, but our reports indicate that David not a close relative of sheriff candidate Richie Cravens, who’s had his own problems in the Crawford County area a few years back, unfortunately, none of it reaching the criminal stage.
We’ll have more on that in an upcoming special election edition we’re planning for mid-October.
David Cravens remains at the Crawford County jail; future court dates are pending.
