Each print headline is preceded by the dateline (where the article takes place) and a brief synopsis of what the article is about. HARDIN CO.—School situation out of control in Hardin County; parents to blame?: There’s an atrocity going on down in Hardin County, and the ones who are suffering it are the kids.
LAWRENCEVILLE—Shooting in Lawrenceville; victim: house.—The weird house shootup in Lawrence takes on an even weirder tone with new pics we received.
WHITE CO.—Knife assault suspect wanted on warrant after incident at party: And Bobby York is reportedly STILL at large.
CLAY CO.—Closure to former ISP cop’s DUI, weapons case: Steve Poe, no longer brain-damaged, according to doctors. But also, now convicted.
HARRISBURG—New faces at Illinois Youth Center, Harrisburg: are any of these ‘lawsuits just waiting to happen’?—Two names that send shivers up the spines of those who know them: Bill Peyton, and Kinda Simpson.
CRAWFORD CO.—Second grader mauled after getting off school bus: Kelcee Lowrance and the dog attack.
WHITE CO.—Plea agreement in dope case saves thousands: Scott Webb, once again doing his job.
HAMILTON CO.—Sex offender charged with bouncing his wife’s head off the console of their car: A multi-county tirade by a sex offender is laid out…& this guy just ain’t right.
SALINE CO.—Former chief deputy’s family collecting support from questionable sources: The Todd Fort phone calls continue, on the eve of his release from DOC. He might get to thinking that he should’ve stayed in a little longer.
JASPER CO.—Face stabbing among first crimes of the year: They do things weird in Jasper….this proves it.
WAYNE CO.—Man facing 12-count indictment gets five years: Steven Evetts, car burglar. All we’d really like to know is….why’d he do it?
CRAWFORD CO.—Former sheriff candidate making headlines AGAIN: Dave Devin, loser. Would someone please shut him down? Thanks.
EDWARDS CO.—Prosecutor touting zero tolerance along with a dash of common sense: And, he’s filing forfeiture paperwork on the alleged druggies, too.
CLAY CO.—Trio charged with delivering dope near nursing home: Badness going on in Flora.
DOWNSTATE ILLINOIS—Lots of interest in judicial races, downstate Illinois: At least we have several choices for judges in the First, Second and Fourth circuits…even if we can’t get rid of the rummy ones, like Tom Dinn.
GALLATIN CO.—Expenditure of mural a drop in the bucket by comparison to possible litigation—and loss: We’ve got the dollar amount spent on the big movie screen in the GallCo courthouse. Don’t know how much a lawsuit would cost, but it can’t be limited to four figures.
SALINE CO.—Drew loses another one; Hutch pays county big-time fines and fees: Roger Hutchison is probably facing prison time, but first, he’s had to forfeit tens of thousands in cash and seizure items.
WABASH CO.—Repeat drug offender and strangler top police blotter: Self-explanatory.
GALLATIN CO.—Downplayed gun heist shuffle continues: Folks, watch this story. It’s our educated opinion that this is the next Raymond Martin issue in Gallatin. The little fit Mykie Mull continues to throw is speaking volumes about it, too.
WHITE CO.—Chiropractor arrested on violence charge sentenced to attend “special facility”: Haskell…he ain’t right, either.
WAYNE CO.—Teacher sentenced; attorneys switched in last-ditch appeal move; Drews claim prosecutor welched on plea deal: So here’s how the Haven Kirkpatrick thing shakes out: The Drews are blaming Mike Valentine; HavenK is blaming everybody; and Gary Milone is caught in the middle trying to get her a new trial. Won’t happen. But it makes for some interesting reading, and it raises the question: Does Bryan Drew really know what he’s doing?
WHITE CO.—Yard gnome leaves the scene of accident with injuries: The ever-smelly Bubby Miller.
EDGAR CO.—County E911 spending practices suspect: Richland County native Dee Burgin, now a deputy among other titles up in Edgar County, is having a high-speed comeapart over the Watchdogs’ coverage of his ineptitude. Call the whaaaaaaaambulance.
