RICHLAND CO.—The little girl who horrified a majority of Richland Countians (as well as the world of Facebook) by getting pregnant at 13 and declaring her undying love for the then-15-year-old father has issued an order of protection against him.
Angel E. Phipps, the mother of now-15-year-old Tammy J.N. Casey, of Olney, petitioned on February 3, 2014, for an order of protection against 17-year-old Trytton K. E. Jarvis. The petition named as protected persons not only Ms. Phipps, but her errant daughter and that daughter’s daughter, the overly-named Aubriee Sophia Heaven Lynn Jarvis, whose moniker is bigger than she is at approximately one year of age.
The whole debacle came to the public’s attention when Casey revealed on her Facebook page in the Summer of 2012 that she was pregnant at barely 13, which set off a firestorm of criticism from people all over the world and not just in Olney/Richland County. Aside from the abject disgust that such a declaration brought with it, the statements that the two children were “in love” and etcetera prompted nausea amongst those who have the common sense to know that little kids couldn’t have any serious idea about being “in love”…and also prompted a whole contingent of Facebook-bashers who attacked Casey and anyone who defended her, in a rare display of righteousness (even though most of it was effected) not ordinarily seen in these days of “anything goes.”
Besides the plethora of “relationships” the child Casey has been involved in since the birth of her daughter (see photos), it appears that any honeymoon phase that may have so fleetingly been present is over now, however, and the two little former lovebirds are officially on the outs.
Phipps described Jarvis, who doesn’t turn 18 until August, as “not employed” and “doesn’t attend school” while living in Olney.
While the OP appears to have been filed by Phipps, it appears that Casey was the one listing the actions that prompted the petition, as occurring on February 2, 2014, when “Trytton and Kurt Jarvis was posting false allagations (sic) on facebook where Trytton proceeded to post ‘I am about to stop trying to find someone to beat your ass and beat your ass myself” Threatening to take our daughter.”
In more barely-legibly-handwritten instances that may be from both Phipps and Casey, it was also noted that ‘in the last year,’ “Trytton has physically put his hands on me in several different instances. Has been caught by mother crawling threw (sic) windows of Tammy n Aubriee’s bedroom. Showed up unannounced either drunk or high. Causing drama. Having several people either call or fb mess. threats about beating Tammy’s ass. Showed up at Tammy’s grandmothers harassing Tammy about giving him money. He calls Tammy names all the time belittles her about how she’s a bad mother. There are SEVERAL other instances. Can write and proved later. Last 3 times he held Aubriee (his daughter) he was so messed up he dropped her.”
Naturally, there has been no mention of any complaint of assault or battery despite the claims in the OP; probably only because Richland County state’s attorney David Hyde wouldn’t do anything about them anyway.
It’s been reported to Disclosure by concerned people who are aware of the situation that DCFS has been called on the very young mother due to the girl taking the baby in a car seat/carrier out to a busy highway and leaving the carrier, with the baby inside, sitting on the ground VERY close to the highway while she either retrieved mail from a mailbox, or some other errand that brought her to close proximity of cars traveling at a high rate of speed. However, whether DCFS responded or not remained unknown, as they are never interested in a case that desperately needs their attention, while being all up in cases that don’t.
The petition for emergency order of protection was granted Feb. 3; a plenary (two-year) order was set to have been heard on the street date for this issue, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m., where it likely will be dropped since the two are already about as dysfunctional as it can get and don’t seem very willing to change…or grow up.
