LAWRENCE CO.— A trio of women from Lawrenceville have been nabbed for alleged repeated shoplifting trips in 2013 to the local Wal-Mart, located at 2610 West Haven Rd., Lawrenceville, during which they are said to have stolen nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise.
Holland Marie Lackey, 27, of 1409 Collins Ave., faces six counts of Retail Theft; Tasha L. Weirick, 31, of Rural Route 4, four counts; and Kristen K. Coonce, 33, of 407 Christy Ave., faces three.
It appears that each time Lackey made a trip, one of the other girls went along.
Lackey’s trips, according to police were on November 3, with Coonce by her side; November 10 and 18 with Weirick; November 26 with Coonce; November 27 and 28 with Weirick; and December 6 with Coonce.
Coonce and Weirick were released from custody after the posting of $1,000 cash each.
Lackey was released January 29 after posting $1,000 cash.
Domestic battery
Christopher D. McDonald, 38, of 408 Jefferson St., Lawrenceville, has been charged with one count of Domestic Battery after authorities say on or about January 28, at a time when he had previously been convicted of Domestic Battery on April 16, 2013, he knowingly caused bodily harm to a family member identified as Roni McDonald when he struck Roni McDonald in the face with his fist.
McDonald was released from custody after a $1,500 cash bond was posted.
Conditions of his release include he remain away from the residence of Roni McDonald for at least 72 hours.
Forgery
Joey A. Stevenson, 32, has been charged with one count of Forgery after authorities say on or about December 11, 2013 he forged a check belonging to Lacee Moon, drawn on the Bank of Lawrence County, dated December 11, 2013 and made it payable to Wal-Mart for $227.21.
A $1,000 cash bond has been set in the case.
