WAYNE CO., Ill./VANDERBURGH CO., Ind.—Reports of another educator at Fairfield Community High School falling askance of the law over the past weekend have been confirmed.

From Emily Adams' Facebook page

Court documents out of Vanderburgh County show that one Emily T. Adams, 23, who is an Art and Psychology instructor at the high school, had a DUI filed against her this morning (December 27, 2011) after an incident in the early morning hours of Christmas Day (this past Sunday).

According to reports, Adams was stopped after “weaving while driving.”  After an officer pulled her over, she allegedly failed several field sobriety tests and when she blew into a portable alcohol BAC unit, it allegedly read .15, almost twice the legal limit.

Reports indicate she was released after posting $250 cash bond.

There hasn’t been any issuance of any kind from the school—and likely, without mainstream media coverage, there won’t be much—but we’ll see if there’s any kind of action taken in the wake of this latest faux pas involving teachers at FCHS.

Former PE/health/driver’s ed instructor Haven Kirkpatrick, convicted of 8 counts of sexual abuse against one of her students, is still awaiting sentencing from her October conviction, this sentencing set to come in January.
