Here’s a link for the website devoted to Ang’s book, Death Rides the Sky: The Story of The 1925 Tri-State Tornado.
The website will be devoted to what’s going on as the book gradually takes on nationwide exposure, and as Ang (and the “staff,” lol) travels the area promoting the book.
So far, response has been VERY good…and there are two events scheduled for this week: Thursday, December 29, 1 to 4 p.m. at the Griffin Diner Depot in Griffin, Indiana; and New Year’s Eve, this Saturday, Dec. 31 from 2 to 6 p.m. at 17th Street Bar & Grill in Murphysboro. Both are going to be BIG venues and fortunately, because she’s limiting herself to just two signings this week, there should be enough books to hold out until the next shipment arrives.
That shipment will handle upcoming events already scheduled, including one in Owensville, Ind. at the library there on January 23 from 4 to 7 p.m., as well as some repeat events we’re working on, since there wasn’t a lot of time to promote the ones she held last week.
And of course you can always order the book, prior to wide release which occurs January 1, via Barnes and Noble.com or Amazon.com…But it helps Ang more for you to purchase the book directly from her at signings. The book is $21.35 (that includes tax) but it’s worth every penny as it’s a 350-page monster book about the monster storm that tore across the state—as well as portions of Missouri and Indiana—more than 85 years ago. So get your copy while they’re still available….bookstores across our part of the state, like Book Emporium in Harrisburg and the Bookworm in Carbondale, currently have them in stock…so you don’t have to wait for the next shipment!
