FLORA, Ill.—Multiple sources in and around Flora in Clay County are advising at this hour that there’s been a collision near the junior high school, and that the collision is involving a city police officer.
Our sources who have observed the aftermath of the accident first-hand indicate that the collision is between the officer’s vehicle and a semi, and may have occurred at the intersection of North Standford Road and US 50.
We have called Flora PD, but they have advised that they can’t give out any information on the incident at this time.
Our eyewitnesses have advised that traffic was blocked off in the vicinity at 6:30 p.m.
