UTAH–Law enforcement officers aren’t immune to the scourge of bad behavior amongst family members, as this article from the state of Utah shows.
Police say on July 11, a Utah sheriff’s deputy, Timothy John (TJ) Brewer, 33, was arrested for hitting his wife, Logan Rae Brewer, and pistol whipping his father, Moab fire chief Wesley ‘Corky’ Brewer, after he found both of them having intercourse in TJ’s son’s bedroom.
According to authorities the incident took place after TJ “lost sight” of his wife and father after they had dinner at TJ’s home. TJ was intoxicated when he noticed his son’s bedroom door cracked open and walked in to find his wife on top of his father. TJ was furious and back-handed his wife, then was alleged by police to have pointed a gun at her, then pistol-whipping his father.
TJ was released from the San Juan County Jail on bail on July 15, and ordered NOT to have any alcohol, or contact with his wife and father. As well, he is to have supervised visits with his and his wife’s four children. TJ resigned as a deputy, then his father resigned from the fire department in which he was chief since 1989.
The story has only been coming to light with recent court hearings with his first court hearing being August 6.
