UPDATE 2:30 P.M.
We’ve been in touch with the Federal Aviation Administration.
They have advised that the plane was a small, two-engine Cessna 421.
The crash occurred “one mile east of the Edgar County airport during takeoff,” according to FAA officials.
The National Transportation Safety Board is in charge of the investigation. We at Disclosure have advised the FAA, who is in turn advising NTSB, that there might have been something suspicious about the crash, as the pilot was a very experienced aviator, and has been harassed at the Edgar County Airport for the past year now.
More as it develops.

The airplane was reportedly landing at taking off from (CORRECTED; see above, according to FAA) the facility when it crashed, this occurring at about 12:45 p.m. today Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
Our sources do know whose plane it was and they are reporting that there is one person deceased in the incident; we are withholding the name until relatives are notified.
The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered a two-hour blackout on the situation. When we are able to release more, we’ll bring it.
