MT. CARMEL, Ill. - A Mt. Carmel guy who got in trouble last year in Franklin County has now gotten in trouble in Mt. Carmel over getting in trouble in Franklin.
Let’s clear up any confusion that sentence may have created.
On Monday, March 18, Mt. Carmel Police received a complaint of suspicious individuals in the 400 block of West Fifth Street. Police responded and located Caleb M. Czak, 22 of Mt. Carmel. Police reports indicate that a records check revealed he was wanted on a failure to appear warrant out of Franklin County. Last July, Czak, pictured above, got hemmed up in Franklin on a Battery Causing Bodily Harm misdemeanor, and made short work of the charge, pleading guilty within a matter of days of the charge, and was placed on 24 months conditional discharge and ordered to pay $813 in fines and fees, none of which has been paid…so his problems are going to compound, as Franklin can go back on his CD and order him to be jailed. Apparently Czak was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.
In other Mt. Carmel Police activity, Geraldine M. Ansorage, 57 of Mt. Carmel, was arrested that same day after she was stopped for driving while suspended. Police observed her in the 1500 block of West Ninth Street and knew she was driving while her license was suspended. Ansorage was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for driving while license is suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was held pending the posting of bond.
Then on Tuesday, March 19, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Jamie E. Goldman, 35 of Mt. Carmel, after she was stopped for driving while suspended. Police observed her in the 100 block of West Ninth Street and knew she was suspended. Goldman was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for driving suspended; she was released after posting bond.
