Flora Police activity report sees busy mid-February to early March

FLORA, Ill. - Flora Chief of Police Guye Durre has submitted his departmental report starting February 17 and continuing on through this past Sunday...and as usual, it is a report of a very busy police department.

Here's the rundown.

On Sunday, February 17, Flora Police investigated an altercation in to 700 block of E. North Ave. involving a 19-year-old male identified as Max B. Moore of Cisne and a male juvenile. The male juvenile was arrested on two counts of Aggravated Battery and a count of Criminal Damage to Property. He was transported to the Franklin County Detention Center.

On Wednesday, February 20 at 11:30 a.m., Flora Police investigated an accident in the parking lot of the Flora High School. Involved was a male juvenile driving a 2004 Toyota Tundra and Mollie E. Pruitt, 18 of Xenia, driving a 2008 Ford Focus. No citations were issued and no injuries were reported.

On Wednesday, February 20 at 11:38 p.m., Flora Police issued Tara B. Szarek, 26 of Flora, a citation for No Valid Driver's License after a traffic stop in the 100 block of E. Scudamore.

On Thursday, February 21 at 3:31 p.m., Flora Police, following an investigation at Wal-mart, arrested Amanda Gail Garner, 38 of Fairfield, on an outstanding Vanderburgh County (Indiana) warrant and Retail Theft following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of W. North Ave. She was transported to the Flora Police Department for booking procedures and was transferred into the custody of the Clay County Sheriff’s Department.

On Thursday, February 21 at 4:17 p.m., Gregory A. Dulaney, 42 of Flora, was issued a Local Ordinance citation for Dogs at Large following an incident in the 400 block of Fair Ave.

On Thursday, February 21 at 4:05 p.m., Flora Police investigated an accident in the parking lot of Flora Walmart. Involved was a 2016 Jeep Utility owned by Diana K Blair, 68 of Flora. Her vehicle had been parked at Walmart and the vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle.

On Monday, February 25 at 7:30 p.m., Derek H. Koch, 37 of Flora, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams. Koch was released with a Clay County court date.

On Monday, February 25 at 8:13 p.m., Virginia B. Estell, 35 of Flora, was arrested for an outstanding Clay County warrant for Contempt of Court, Child Support. She was transported to the Flora Police Dept. for booking procedures and was transferred into the custody of the Clay County Sheriff’s Dept.

On Monday, February 25 at 8:13 p.m., Brett S Evans, 25 of Flora, was arrested for an outstanding Clay County warrant for Attempt Foil/Defeat Screen Test. He was transported to the Flora Police Dept. for booking procedures, posted bond and was released with a Clay County Court date.

On Wednesday, February 27 at 12:34 a.m., Flora Police issued Heather S. Baker, 24 of Flora, a local ordinance citation for Dangerous/Vicious Animals after an incident in the 300 block of Karr St.

On Thursday, February 28 at 4:26 p.m., Flora Police issued Ian L Gates, 26 of Flora a citation for No Valid Driver's License after a traffic stop in the 200 block of E. North Ave.

On Friday, March 1 at 1:02 a.m., Flora Police issued Bradley C. Anderson, 28 of Flora, a citation for Driving While License Revoked after a traffic stop at W North Ave and N Main St.

On Friday, March 1 at 9:26 p.m., Flora Police arrested Jaime L. Brewer, 38 of Flora. on an outstanding Richland County warrant for Failure to Appear on Forgery. She was transported to the Flora Police Dept. for booking procedures, posted bond and was released with a Richland County court date.

On Saturday, March 2 at 5:06 p.m., Flora Police issued Jerome F. Pride, 62 of Flora, a local ordinance citation for Air Contamination Control after an incident in the 200 block of E Scudamore.

On Saturday, March 2 at 9:39 p.m., Flora Police issued Jessica M. Armstrong, 31 of Xenia, a citation for Driving While License Suspended after a traffic stop at W. North Ave. and Red Bay Ln.

On Saturday, March 2 at 10:47 a.m., Flora Police arrested Mark J. Kocher, 35 of Flora on an outstanding Clay County Warrant for Failure to Appear on Assault. He was transported to the Flora Police Dept. for booking procedures, was unable to post bond and was transferred into the custody of the Clay County Sheriff’s Dept.

On Sunday, March 3 at 1:37 a.m., Flora Police arrested Alan J. Ksiazkiewicz, 32 of Flora, for Domestic Battery and Interfering with the Report of Domestic Violence after an incident at 432 Vincennes Ave. He was transported to the Flora Police Dept. for booking procedures and was transferred into the custody of the Clay County Sheriff’s Dept.
