GIBSON CO., Ind.—A strange situation that developed late last night in Indiana may have ties to Illinois as of this morning.

Marvin Boze

According to Indiana officials, one Marvin Boze, 47, “attempted to abduct” five children from an unrevealed location in Princeton last night, Thursday, August 1, 2013.

That’s in quotations because there isn’t a lot of information to give…and Boze happens to be the childrens’ stepfather, so it’s entirely possible that this situation was based on a domestic argument, and that Boze had every reason to remove the kids from the home.

Whatever the case, he was reported to authorities…and was later found in the vicinity of Duke Energy (formerly PSI) on State Road 64 West, at about 11:30 last night, as observed by a security officer for the energy plant. All of the kids were with Boze in a car. The security guard was able to “get the children to safety” (presumably, away from Boze/out of the car/unsaid) but Boze “ran away.”

For whatever reason, authorities are bringing up a semi that Boze drives, noting that it was in Palestine, Ill. (Crawford County) as of this past Friday morning, July 26. However, as of this morning, authorities believe Boze “may have stolen another car.”

Authorities in Gibson are considering criminal counts of Neglect of a Dependent and Criminal Confinement, but so far no charges have been issued, and authorities are only stating that if Boze isn’t located soon, a warrant for his arrest will be issued.

Authorities are warning the public that Boze “may have a knife.” They are advising the public to contact Princeton police at 812-385-3437 with any pertinent information.
