CRAWFORD CO.—Authorities believe the man alleged to have abducted his five stepchildren last night might be in or around Crawford County, Illinois, today.
Further, they’ve clarified the danger they believe the man to be after giving information on the condition they found Marvin Boze’s stepchildren in last night.
Through a vague report this morning, police said Boze was last seen last night just before midnight with his five stepchildren in the vicinity of Duke Energy (formerly PSI) Gibson Station, on the state line with Illinois. Reports had it that a security officer was “able to get the children to safety” and Boze escaped, but reports didn’t make clear what danger the children were in, if any, since he was their stepfather.
We’ve just learned that the security officer “saw two of the children bound with duct tape and rope, and the other three inside a truck,” so the first two might have been standing OUTSIDE Boze’s truck when they were spotted by the security guard…which presents a totally different scenario than just that Boze was getting his stepchildren away from a domestic situation.
Boze escaped on foot, and is alleged to have stolen a vehicle, which is described as a black 1991 Jeep with a hard top and Purdue antennae topper
While authorities believe Boze may have made his way to Crawford County (Palestine), where they knew he had a semi parked, they are still advising the public to contact Princeton police at 812-385-3437 with any information leading to Boze’s whereabouts.
