A little bit of Clay County Sheriff’s Department activity

CLAY CO., Ill. - Here's a little bit of activity from the Clay County Sheriff's Department, courtesy Sheriff Andy Myers, which illustrates that even if it's just a brief couple of days, those repeaters are going to get in there. In this one, it's 66 percent. Read on and see.

One Feb. 19, the Clay County Sheriff's Office received a report of a motor vehicle accident at 11:35 a.m. south of Mint Lane on the Dieterich Blacktop north of Clay City. Apparently Paige Hatley, 24, Springfield, was traveling south on the Dieterich Blacktop, drove off the roadway onto loose gravel, lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, overturned, landing on its top. Minor injuries reported. Hatley was cited for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. She was given a Notice to Appear in Clay County court.

Feb. 20, Gayla S. Glowacki, 55, Cisne, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Deceptive Practice. Bond set at $7,500.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She posted bond and was released on a later day.

Feb. 21, Brandon J. Goodiel, 24, Centralia, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charges of Unlawful Possession of Vehicle with a
Destroyed Vehicle Identification Number and Theft. Bond set at $2,500.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He posted bond and was released.
