FLORA, Ill. – The city of Flora’s police department has been busy since the first of the year, and this report provided by Police chief Guye Durre shows just that.
On Tuesday January 1 at 10:12 p.m., Flora Police Department arrested Jamie A. Church, 41 of Clay City, on an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant from Wayne County.Church was unable to post bond was transferred to the custody of Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
On Thursday January 3 at 3:20 p.m., Flora Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident involving a 16-year-old female of Flora, driving a 2011 GMC Terrain and Pamela Trotter of Flora, driving a 2014 Chevy Cruze. The accident occurred at S Locust and E Railroad St in Flora. There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
On Saturday January 5 at 4:02 p.m., Flora Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 400 block of W. North Ave. Involved were Joshua R. Artis,41, of Flora, driving a 2001 Toyota and Kimberly Carter, 48, of Louisville, driving a 2010 Nissan. There were no injuries and Artis was issued a citation for operating uninsured vehicle.
On Wednesday, January 9 at 3:25 p.m., Flora Police Department investigated an accident at E. North Ave and N Stanford Rd. Involved in the accident was 16-year-oldfemale of Flora, driving a 2000 Toyota hatchback, and Linda Margentina of Cisne, driving a 2013 Kia Sedan. There were no injuries; both vehicles were towed from the scene and no citations were issued.
On Wednesday January 9 at 7:11 p.m. Alisha S. Hollingsworth, 42 of Xenia, was issued a citation for speeding, following a traffic stop at Old Hwy 50 and Airport Rd.
On Thursday January 10, Flora Police Department investigated an accident that happened on January 4, 2019 at Mach 1 in Flora involving Howard R. Hunt, 32 of Louisville. There were no injuries and no damage to the pillar.
On Thursday January 10 at 5:43 p.m., Flora Police Department investigated an accident at the corner of S. Mill St. and Fairview St. in Flora involving William T. Blalock,31 of Crossville, Tennessee. There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
On Friday January 11 at 1:17 p.m., Flora Police Department investigated a report of a traffic accident at 1301 N State St in Flora. Linda S Corrigan, 70 of Centralia, driving a 2014 Ford Escape, struck the back end of a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan being driven by Karen S. Whitehead, 58 of Flora. There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
On Saturday, January 12 at 4:44 p.m., Flora Police Department investigated a single-vehicle accident at 437 South Main St. involving Daniel L. Persinger of Flora. There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
On Saturday, January 12, Flora Police Department arrested Terry L. Windland, 50 of Flora, for Domestic Battery, following an incident in the 300 block of South Elm St. in Flora. Windland underwent booking procedures at the Flora Police Department and was transferred to the custody of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
