EDWARDS CO., Ill. – An Albion man was sentenced Friday to a term in Illinois Department of Corrections following a weapons plea.
Cody M.A. Kell, 27,caught a six-year sentence in IDOC, to be followed by a year of parole, on January 11, 2019 following the plea in the case in which he was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon. Kell became a felon at a young age when in 2010, a serious (Class 1) felony Residential Burglary charge was pled down to a Class 4 felony Criminal Trespass to Residence with Persons Present.
Kell is one of these people who can’t take a hard lesson, as within a year of his conviction and slap on the wrist for the reduced charge, he managed to get his probation revoked and was sent to IDOC for a short sentence.
It remains to be seen whether this sentence, considerably longer than the two years he spent on the previous one (translated: One year), will knock some sense into him.
The case was investigated by the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department
