Meth, traffic and battery keep Clay County Sheriff’s Department busy

CLAY CO., Ill. - It’s a brief but meaningful sheriff’s department report from Sheriff Andy Myers coming out of Clay County…and here it is.

January 8, Jacob L. McGuire, 25, Flora, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Retail Theft. Bond set at $7,500.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

Jan. 9, Terry E. Richardson, 45, Fairfield, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $10,000.00 (10 percent). He posted bond and was released.

Jan. 9, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Jeffrey Wathan, 18, Flora, for Violation of Probation on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

Jan. 10, Terry Thompson, 53, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver's License Suspended. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent). He posted bond and was released.

Jan. 10, Clay County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Travis Hargis, 29, Flora, for Domestic Battery. Bond set at $5,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.
