Felonies Filed
Caleb D. Mibb, 27 of Carterville, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams. NOT a misprint; this is his second time in one week.
Jesse J. Montgomery, 20 of Colp, is charged with one count of Battery/Make Physical Contact and a misdemeanor Assault charge. Codefendant David A. Tolbert, 24 of Johnston City, is charged with Aggravated Battery/Use of Deadly Weapon.
Nathan K. Ande, 33 of Eldorado, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams.
Keisha D. Atkinson, 29 of Harrisburg, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams.
Dawn A. Boyd, 38 of Johnston City, is charged with Retail Theft more than $300.
James D. Brown, 48 of Carbondale, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams.
John J. Speers, 37 of Kevil, Kentucky, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams.
David E. Wallace, 44 of Herrin, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine between 5 and 15 grams.
Leanne Chitwood, 39 of West Frankfort, is charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Except (A)/(D).
David L. Heinman, 45 of Johnston City, is charged with Aggravated Battery/Strangle.
Adam L. Williams, 28 of Cambria, is charged with Retail Theft over $300
Jessica N. Palmer, 22 of Benton, is charged with Manufacture/Delivery of Cannabis between 30 and 500 grams and a misdemeanor charge of Possession of Cannabis between 30 and 100 grams First Offense.
Felony Dispositions
Mercedez E. Maldonado, 22 of Zeigler, plead not guilty to Possession of Methamphetamine between 15 and 100 grams. Case dismissed/No probable cause: The meth was found outside the vehicle and the testimony elicited showed that fact it could have belonged - and probably did - to her passenger.
Christina N. Shadowens, 27 of Johnston Cit,y plead not guilty to Aggravated Battery /Great Bodily Harm; dismissed Nolle Prosequi.
John D. Reed, 50 of Creal Springs, plead not guilty to Meth Possession. He was found Guilty. Reed was granted a 2-week recog bond. Sentencing will be at the end of March.
Tracy L. Brown, 26 of West Frankfort, plead not guilty to Theft/Stolen/Intent under $500. Case dismissed on State’s Motion
Miguel A. Torres, 22 of Herrin, plead not guilty to Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams. Case dismissed on State’s Motion.
James Vailes, 44 of Marion, plead not guilty to Domestic Battery/Other priors. He plead guilty to an amended charge of Battery/Makes Physical Contact. He received 12 months conditional discharge, fines and 90 days in jail with credit for 75 days served. He plead not guilty to Criminal Damage to Property and was found guilty. He received 12 months conditional discharge and 90 days in jail with credit for 75 days served.
