
CLAY CO., Ill. - A sharp-eyed citizen's call to law enforcement lead to the arrest of a couple in Clay County Wednesday.
Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers said that on Wednesday (January 9) at approximately 12:46 p.m., the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at a property in Hoosier Township.
When the deputy arrived he located two subjects and a truck containing items that were believed to have been taken from the property without permission.
As a result of this investigation Korey E. Greenwood, 44 of Noble, and
Michelle D. Wolfe, 49 of Flora, were arrested for the offense of Burglary.
Greenwood and Wolfe are currently incarcerated in the Clay County awaiting the setting of bond and their first court appearance. This matters remains under investigation and further charges are pending.
