EDWARDS CO., Ill. - Information on a drug bust that occurred last week in Edwards County has been released by Sheriff Darby Boewe, and it finds a couple of repeat offenders back where they belong but can't seem to stay: Behind bars.
Boewe said that last Tuesday (November 20) at 11:34 p.m., the Edwards County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Albion Police Department and the Grayville Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence located at 219 N. 7th Street in Albion.
Located and seized during the search warrant was a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, some suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.
Isaiah D. Tapia, 27 and an occupant of this residence, was arrested on charges of Meth Possession and Meth Delivery; David G. Tapia, 52 and also showing an address of 319 N. 7th Street, Albion, was arrested on a White County arrest warrant, and Terry G. Werner, 43, showing an address of 318 E. Monroe St. in Olney, was arrested on a charge of being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Participating in this search warrant were Edwards County Deputy Travis Roosevelt, Albion Police Officer David Burrows, Grayville Police Officer Mike Brown, and Edwards County Sheriff Darby Boewe. Deputy Roosevelt conducted the investigation leading to the issuing of the search warrant.
