PALESTINE, Ill. - A traffic stop earlier today lead to the arrest and detention of a man from Flat Rock, who was a passenger in the vehicle.
As a result of the vehicle stop, a K-9 search of the vehicle was conducted by Robinson Police Department's K-9 unit giving a positive indication for illegal substances.
Arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance was Joseph T. Ham, 22, of Flat Rock.
Ham was also issued ordinance citations for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The driver (Douglas J. Salhani) was issued traffic citations for Operating Vehicle with Expired Registration Sticker and Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
Ham was transported to the Crawford County Jail where he was charged, processed and is being held in lieu of bond being set by a judge.
