EDWARDS CO., Ill. - A guy who has been off the police blotter for a while has re-emerged.
Edwards County Sheriff Darby Boewe announced on the department's Facebook page that on the afternoon of Thursday, November 1, 2018, Edwards County Sheriff's Deputies Travis Roosevelt, Gary Ivy, Jonah Laws, and Drew Bunting executed a search warrant on a residence and property located at 852 CO RD 500 N, Albion.
Located and seized during the execution of the warrant was almost one half pound of suspected methamphetamine, several items of drug paraphernalia, over 30 firearms, and some cash.
Arrested and taken into custody on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine was Barry L. Cowling, 57, the resident of the above address.
More charges are pending. Cowling was booked into the White County Jail at Carmi pending the setting of bond.
Deputy Roosevelt conducted the investigation leading to the issuing of the search warrant.
