CARMI, Ill. — An Indiana man was jailed recently after an early morning, routine traffic stop showed he had problems with his driver’s license, as well as requisite insurance.
According to details released by authorities at 12:14 a.m., Wednesday, October 31, Perry D. Clayton, 40, of 2611 W. Virginia St., Evansville, Ind., was the subject of a traffic stop at East Main Street and Staley Street, in Carmi.
Subsequent to that stop Clayton was taken into custody by officer David Beam and charged with Driving While License Suspended and Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
Clayton was released from police custody several hours later, 2:18 a.m. after posting $150 cash bond and a $20 booking fee.
