WHITE CO.— It appears that if it weren’t for a rogue deer colliding with a wanted woman out of Enfield, the accused may have gone unnoticed for weeks or months.
According to authorities, on Tuesday, October 2, at approximately 8:24 p.m., Lana B. Whetstone, 49, of the 400 block of East Hosick St., Enfield, communicated with White County Deputy Scott Canteell the details of a car-deer crash that she had been involved in south of Enfield.
Deputy Cantrell took the information from Whetstone, and after checking her driving history, informed her of an outstanding arrest warrant out of White County for Deceptive Practice.
Whetstone was taken into custody on the warrant.
She was released from police custody at approximately 9:57 p.m. after posting a $150 cash bond and a $20 booking fee.
