MARION, Ill. - An arrest has been made following a shooting incident at a Marion watering hole this weekend.
Authorities said that on Saturday, September 22, at approximately 11:56 p.m., the Marion Police Department responded to Martini Joe’s regarding a call received about shots fired.
Upon arrival numerous witnesses were interviewed. Witnesses stated there were six gun shots fired into the air. The witnesses were able to identify the suspect.
Shortly after this incident, the suspect, who has not been named, was taken into custody by another department for an unrelated incident.
The Marion Police Department has since submitted additional charges to the Williamson County State’s Attorney Office against the suspect, relative to the incident that occurred at Martini Joe’s
Authorities have advised that no further information will be released at this time.
