MT. CARMEL— Traffic stops and complaints result in multiple arrests over the past week.
Dalton T. Scott
On Monday, September 10, Mt. Carmel authorities arrested 19-year-old Dalton T. Scott, of Jackson, Mo., after it is alleged he violated an order of protection.
Scott is accused of being within 500 feet of a protected person.
Mt. Carmel Police, on patrol, spotted Scott driving the wrong way in the 200 block of W. 2nd Street.
Police stopped the vehicle and discovered he was in violation of the order of protection.
Scott was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.
Timothy C. Mason
The next day, Tuesday, Sept. 11, Timothy C. Mason, 54, of Mt. Carmel was arrested after he was the subject of a traffic stop by police in the 1200 block of Cherry Street.
During the traffic stop it was discovered that Mason was driving on a revoked driver's license.
Mason was taken into custody and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for Driving While Revoked, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and he was given a citation for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Mason was released after posting bond.
Glen D. Stoops
On Wednesday, Sept. 12, 57-year-old Glen D. Stoops, of Mt. Carmel was taken into custody.
Stoops was arrested after police were called to Jumpin’ Jimmy’s at 9th and Market Street in reference to a disturbance.
Police were told that Stoops struck two family members.
Stoops was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with one count of Domestic Battery and one count of Battery.
He was held pending the posting of $500 cash bond.
Mark D. Crouch
On Thursday, Sept. 13, Police were called to the 1300 block of Cherry Street in reference to a male subject under the influence causing a disturbance.
Authorities located 49-year-old Mark D. Crouch, of Mt. Carmel.
The reporting officer reported that it appeared Crouch was under the influence of unknown narcotic and during a reported episode he knocked over a 2002 Kawasaki motorcycle.
Police found him crouched down beside the motorcycle when they arrived on scene.
Crouch was arrested for allegedly causing damage to the said motorcycle.
Crouch was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with Criminal Damage to Property.
He was held in jail pending the posting of bond.
Brice C. Ellinghausen
The weekend began with arrest, Saturday, Sept. 15, of 22-year-old Brice C. Ellinghausen, of Mt. Carmel, on a Wabash County Failure to Appear warrant.
A Mt. Carmel Police officer observed Ellinghausen inside the Casey's convenient store and knew he was wanted on a warrant.
Eillinghausen was placed under arrest and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of $200 cash bond.
Matthew C. Kuehne
Later that same day, authorities responding to an unwanted person call, which resulted in the complainant being arrested on a warrant.
Mt. Carmel Police responded to the 100 block of W. 2nd Street and while on scene police were notified by dispatch that the caller, 48-year-old Matthew C. Kuehne, of Mt. Carmel, was wanted on a Shelby County warrant.
Kuehne was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held until he posted $250 cash bond.
The unwanted person was told not to return to the Kuehne residence.
Melissa R. Madden
On Sunday, Sept. 16, authorities arrested 50-year-old Melissa R. Madden, of Kokomo, Ind., after she drove to the Mt. Carmel Police Department on a suspended driver's license.
It is alleged that Madden drove to and from the Mt. Carmel Police on a suspended driver's license.
Police were not notified of the suspended license until Madden left the police department.
Authorities caught up with Madden in the 900 block of Cherry and observed her driving a 1998 Chevrolet Truck.
Madden was placed under arrest and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for Driving While License Suspended.
Madden was released after posting $150 cash bond.
