CARMI, Ill. - A "walking domestic" (as opposed to the inert kind, or maybe as opposed to the "rolling domestic" in a car) resulted in the arrest of a Carmi man yesterday, according to Carmi City Police.

Larry R. Tyree, 29, was the subject in question.

Authorities state that the actual altercation began yesterday (Thursday, August 30) at around 7:38 a.m. in an upstairs apartment at 304 Church Street, between Tyree and Brandi Holland. However, the report states, Tyree and Holland proceeded out onto the street and were reported while walking on Stewart and Fourth, headed toward Fifth. Police were told that Holland was able to leave the residence, but Tyree pursued her on foot, which caused a bystander to notice, and to notify police.

After an investigation into the incident, Tyree was arrested and charged with Unlawful Restraint, Battery, Criminal Damage to Property and Criminal Trespass to Residence.
