WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. – Felony Friday has finally arrived, and it would appear that people were managing to avoid trouble this past week, by comparison to previous weeks…if the numbers are the indicator, at any rate.
Let’s start with felonies filed.
Felonies filed
Courtney E. Newsome, 24 of Herrin, and Kyla Elaine Jones, 26 also of Herrin, have both been charged with Retail Theft over $300.
Dustin Scott Colp, 37 of Carterville, has been charged with four counts of Meth Delivery between 5 and 15 grams.
Brandon J. Brunotte, 35 of Herrin, has been charged with one count of Aggravated Battery and one count Mob Action; codefendant Gregory L. Martindale, 20 of Herrin, is charged with two counts of Mob Action.
Judith R. Robinson, 42 of Rosiclare, and codefendant Shane A. Lingle, 48 of Goreville, are charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less 5 grams.
Kelly J. Sealy, 50 of Herrin, is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams and one count of Theft having been previously convicted.
Charles R. Jennings, 39 of Marion, is charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Except (A) and (D).
Stephanie M. Robertson, 27 of Johnston City, and codefendant Shane A. Thornton, 31 of Interlachen, Florida, have been charged with Theft under $500
Greg D. Smith, 44 of Hurst, is charged with Aggravated Fleeing From Police/21 miles over speed limit.
Holly R. Bloodworth, 40 of Herrin, has been charged with Burglary.
Felony dispositions
Paul H. Gotowski of Benton plead guilty to Aggravated DUI /3/BAC .16 plus. He received 48 months probation and 180 days in jail.
Kourtney M. Norris, 31 of Herrin, pled guilty to Theft/Control/Intent. She was given a second chance with 24 months probation 30 hours public service and costs; additional charges of Mail Fraud and Financial Exploitation of Elderly were dismissed.
Kevin L. Fore, 55 of Goreville, pled guilty to Possession of Meth. He received 24 months probation, 30 hours community service and drug treatment in force.
John G, Atkinson, 40 of Goreville, pled guilty to Aggravated DUI/Driving Revoked/Suspended. He received 30 months probation, 270 days in jail with credit for 78 days served and drug treatment.
Steven A. Arrowood, 43 of West Frankfort, pled Gguilty to Aggravated DUI/Suspended/Revoked. He received 24 months probation, 180 days in jail and alcohol treatment; he also pled Gguilty to Driving on Revoked or Suspended 4 to 9; same sentence to run concurrently.
Reggie L. Cavitt, 37 of Carbondale, pled not guilty to four counts of felony Possession/Use Firearm and Possession Amount Controlled Substance, with Manufacturing/Delivery of Cannabis dismissed. This dude we have previously reported on has much bigger fish to fry. Feds have picked up his cases.
Alexa F. Hutchison, 23 of Stonefort, pled guilty to Theft/Control over $500. She received two years probation and 30 hours public service. A Forgery charge was dismissed.
Paul E. Jennings, 44 of Herrin, previously convicted of Criminal Damage to Property; case terminated unsatisfied.
Due to circumstances beyond my control there were no DUIs or DUI Dispositions this week.
