Rodney back in the pokey in Clay

CLAY CO., Ill. - A frequent flyer in Clay County is back behind bars, prompting many to wonder why he continues to violate the law yet get back out to offend again.

That'd be Rodney Washington, whose exploits in Clay we've been chronicling for well over a decade now.

Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers reports that on Aug. 19, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Washington, 35, Flora, for Home Invasion. Washington appeared in Clay County court and bond was set at $150,000.00 (10 percent). He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

Myers also reports that on Aug. 21, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Albert R. Harper, 35, Flora, for Violation of Bond on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Harper is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail awaiting court appearance.

And then on Aug. 22, a Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Kenneth J. Pontious, 34, Edgewood, for Violation of Bond on the original charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Pontious is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail awaiting court appearance.
