FLORA, Ill. - Wondering what's been happening in the City of Flora regarding police activity..? Wonder no more. Here's the report for August 8-11 as submitted by Chief John Nicholson!
Wednesday, August 8 at 11:41 am, Dora Ballard, 73, of Flora was arrested for No Valid Drivers License,
following a traffic stop on Hwy 45/50. Ballard was transported to Flora Police Department for booking
procedures and released with a Notice to Appear.
Thursday, August 9 at 12:01 am, John L. Britton, 25, of Flora was arrested for Driving While License
Suspended, following a traffic stop in the 400 block of North Olive Road. Britton underwent booking at
Flora Police Department and was released with a Notice to Appear.
Thursday, August 9 at 9:22 pm, Flora Police arrested Christine Koehler, 29, of Flora for No Valid Driver's
License, following a traffic stop in the 800 block of West 3 rd Street. Koehler was also cited for Possession
of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Cannabis, Operating Uninsured Vehicle and Loud Muffler. Koehler
underwent booking procedures at Flora Police Department prior to posting the necessary cash bond and
being released with a Notice to Appear. John Sherman, 25, of Flora was also arrested during the traffic
stop, for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, Obstructing Justice and a
Clay County Warrant for Failure to Appear. Sherman was taken to Clay County Jail, following booking at
Flora Police Department.
Friday, August 10 at 3:03 pm, Flora Police arrested Shawn Crutchfield, 18, of Flora for Criminal
Trespassing, following an incident in the 200 block of S. Main Street. Crutchfield underwent booking
procedures at Flora Police Department and was transferred to custody of Clay County Sheriffs Office.
Friday, August 10 at 8:27 pm, Flora Police arrested Kelly Novak, 48, of Flora for Criminal Trespass and
Violation of Bond Conditions, following an incident in the 900 block of East North Avenue. Novak was
transported to Clay County Jail, following booking procedures at Flora Police Department.
Saturday, August 11 at 2:42 pm, Flora Police arrested Bradley Williams, 32, of Flora for Speeding, No
Valid Registration and Driving While License Suspended, following a traffic stop on Old Hwy 50. Miranda Williams, 30, of Flora was issued Local Ordinance Citations for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Cannabis and Justin Schofield, 37, also of Flora was issued a Local Ordinance Citation for Possession of Cannabis, during the traffic stop. All parties were released with Notices to Appear.
