PALESTINE, Ill.- Palestine Police Chief Jeff Besing has the most interesting investigations, and what happened Wednesday proves it.
Besing reports that at approximately 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, he was investigating a complaint of "aggressive dogs" in the 300 block of South Jackson Street in the village, when while doing so, he made contact with a male subject identified as Nicholas P. Fragale, 20, of Palestine.
Fragale, Besing said, was found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of neighboring Jasper County, Illinois, for a traffic-related offense.
Besing placed Fragale under arrest and transported him to the Crawford County Jail, where he was held pending extradition back to Jasper County.
