EDWARDS CO., Ill. - A young Albion man with a bad temper and little urge to control it has been sentenced for his latest infraction in Edwards County Circuit court.
Edwards County State's Attorney Eric St. Ledger said that Ivan D. Hinds, Jr., 24, of Albion, was sentenced on July 7 in a Domestic Battery case that he caught a little over a month ago, June 13.
Hinds was charged with three Class 4 felony counts of Domestic Battery on that day, and entered a plea of guilty to the first two counts on the 17th, with the third count being dismissed in exchange for the plea.
For his sentence, Hinds received a term of three years in Illinois Department of Corrections, to be followed by four years of parole. He must also pay $637 in fines and fees, of which he's paid nothing.
