Wrecks, traffic stops and FTA comprise Clay County Sheriff’s report

CLAY CO., Ill. - Here's your Clay County Sheriff's Department activity report, as provided by Sheriff Andy Myers.

July 11, the Clay County Sheriff's Office was notified of a motor vehicle accident at 1:35 p.m. at the 400 Block of Hanging Rock Road. Apparently Jason E. Perrine, 48, Rinard, operating a 1998 Ford van was traveling south on Hanging Rock Road, lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway striking a shrub, landscape rock, and a culvert, coming to rest in the ditch. Perrine was cited for Operation of Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Driving Under the Influence of Alcoholic Beverage, Driving While Driver's License Suspended and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. Bond set at $3,000.00 (10 percent). He posted bond and was released.

July 11, Kevin R. Warren, 61, Fairfield, was arrested on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Criminal Trespass to a Vehicle. Bond set at $10,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail. 

July 11, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy was notified of an altercation at the 300 Block of N. 1st St. N.W., Clay City. Upon further investigation, Trenton Weaver, 21, Evansville, Indiana and Autumn Mathews, 20, Mt. Carmel were both cited for Clay City Ordinance for Fighting. Both were given a Notice to Appear and released.

July 12, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Renee Pride, 34, Clay City, on an outstanding Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Driver's License Suspended. Bond set at $4,000.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. She is currently incarcerated in the Clay County Jail.

July 12, Clay County Sheriff's Deputy arrested Jordan Losier, 21, Ramsey, on an outstanding Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Criminal Trespass to Residence. Bond set at $2,500.00 (10 percent), plus $75.00 warrant fee. He was transported to Fayette County Jail.
