A busy Williamson County FELONY FRIDAY coming your way right NOW

WILLIAMSON CO., Ill. – This week’s offering of Williamson County’s Felony Friday holds true to the premise that folks from all around downstate come to Williamson to get into badness, including a DUI driver out of Golconda down in Pope County, plenty of folks from Carbondale, and the following guy from way up north in Champaign County.

Brian J. Smith, 47 of Champaign, is charged with Unlawful Use of Debit/Credit Card. Smith is said to have taken the card from his roommate without permission and used it at two Marion businesses, one for $183.25 and another for $283.50; those transactions being approximately two-and-a-half hours apart. There are also indications he used said card to make a payment on his Verizon wireless account. As of yet the card has not been recovered. A warrant has been issued and sent to the judge. Bail is set at $10,000.

Cynthia J. Roberts, 32 of Marion, has been charged with One Count of Theft of Motor Vehicle. On January 30 of this year, a 2002 Grand Prix automobile was loaned to Roberts with the understanding it would be returned the same day. By March 2, the car still hadn’t been returned. Charges were filed on June 28. An August court appearance has been set.

Machea D. Harrrington, 30 of Carterville, has been charged with One Count of Theft. She is accused of taking twenty $30 lottery tickets without paying for them. Video surveillance shows Harrington pulled the tickets off the roll and shuffled them with some papers. Approximately 45 minutes later, the video shows she took them into the back room and placed them in her purse.

Gina M. Belcher, 29 of West Frankfort, has been charged with One Count of Unlawful Use Credit/Debit Card and One Count Unlawful Possession Debit/Credit Card. On July 26, 2017, Belcher used a card belonging to someone else to withdraw $500. She was captured on video surveillance. Numerous charges were applied from July 23 to September 10, 2017 in the total amount of $10,202.69. The card issuer is requesting restitution in the amount of $9,188.76 the outstanding balance on the card. An August court appearance is scheduled.

Anthony J. Martin, 31 of Herrin, is charged with Forgery/Deceptive Practice. Martin is accused of write a check for $42.09 to an establishment on a frozen account of another person. He was identified through video surveillance. During interrogations he admitted to presenting the check for payment and was under the influence of methamphetamine at the time. First appearance is in August.

David J. Roberson, 64 of Carbondale, is charged with One Count of Forgery and One Count of Theft. Roberson presented a check to a local bank payable to himself written on a business and signed the name of a representative of said company in the amount $1,948.12. The same day he went to another branch of the same bank and attempted to cash another check for $2,352.11. Arresting agency Marion Police.

Shovonda L. Brown, 40 of Marion, is charged with two Counts Unlawful Delivery of Controlled Substance. Authorities allege that on two separate occasions, Brown knowingly delivered less than one gram of a substance containing cocaine. Arresting agency Marion Police.

Marion M. Lawrence, 62 last known residence Colp, is charged with Sex Offender Failure To Register. Lawrence is said not to be at the address during routine registration checks. The landlord said he had left several weeks prior and left no forwarding address. Arresting agency Williamson County Sheriff’s office.

Miguel A. Torres, 22 of Herrin, is charged with Theft over $10,000. Torres is accused of taking a truck from a driveway in an affluent neighborhood. Marion Police located Torres 18 days later driving the vehicle and attempted to get him to stop. After several miles of pursuit, Torres pulled into a driveway and fled the driver’s seat while the vehicle was still in motion. The other three occupants identified Torres as the driver.

Daniel T. Crosby, 23 of Carterville, is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis more than 10 grams and Obstruction of Identification. Marion Police knocked on the motel door of Crosby and a female companion. The owner of the local motel had instructed police to ask Crosby to leave the premises due to a heavy odor of cannabis emitting from the room and into a nearby stairwell. Although the officer could hear whispers coming from the room, no one would answer the door. The officer went to the front desk and obtained a passkey. When he returned, the door had been barricaded. Once entry was gained, Crosby lied about his identity. His ID was located in the wallet of the female. Crosby was wanted on several warrants from other counties. An ounce of cannabis was found floating in the toilet as well as other amounts of cannabis in the room along with various packaging materials. He is being held in Williamson County Jail on three separate warrants.

Holly R. Bloodworth, 40 of Herrin, is charged with Unlawful Possession Of Controlled Substance. Bloodworth knowingly had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing Suboxone. Arresting agency Herrin Police.

Jeremy D. Boens, 35 of Marion, is charged with Possession Amount Controlled Substance Except (A) and (D); co-defendant Nicola Huitron, 33 of Collinsville is charged with the same offense. Arresting agency Marion Police.

Joe C. Graziano, 49 of Marion, is charged with Child Sex Offender /Residing within 500 feet from a school. He is held in the Williamson County Jail on $350 category B bond. Arresting agency Marion Police.

Donald D. Gaddis, 45 of Marion, is charged with Unlawful Restraint and Disorderly Conduct. Arresting agency Marion Police.

Douglas K. Hearn, 32 of Johnston City, is charged with Burglary without damage. He is being held in the Williamson County Jail on a category B bond of $880. Arresting agency Johnston City police.

Grace L. Paschall, 26 of Carbondale, is charged with Theft/Transfer Merchandise less than $300 having been previously convicted. Arresting agency Marion Police.

Montez D. Avant, 28 of Carterville, is charged with Domestic Battery/Resisting (two counts) /Endanger Life Child/Unlawful Possession of Handgun/Aggravated Assault/ Unlawful Restraint/Criminal Trespass State Property/ Forgery/Unlawful Use of Weapon. He is being held in the Williamson County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond. Arresting agency Carterville police.

James E. Frick, 43 of Herrin, plead Not Guilty to Aggravated Battery of a Child Under 13 with Bodily Harm - Case Dismissed, transferred to a current case of Reckless Conduct/Bodily Harm.
