SALINE CO.—Information has been released about the wreck we covered here yesterday at the site.
Saline County sheriff Keith Brown advises that two Saline County residents were injured in the two-car crash, which occurred at the intersection of Illinois 13 and the Carrier Mills Road. Saline County Central Dispatch received a 911 call of the crash at 2:34 p.m. Tuesday (June 4, 2013).
Saline County deputies and ambulances were dispatched to the scene of the accident. Initial reports have it the Charles R. Field, 91, of Carrier Mills, was driving a 2004 Lincoln south of Carrier Mills Road when his car was struck in the side by a 2004 Kia, driven by Andrea J. Rogers, 23, of Harrisburg, who was eastbound on 13.
Both Rogers and Field were taken to Harrisburg Medical Center by ambulance, and Field was later transferred to an Evansville hospital.
The crash is still being investigated by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office. Carrier Mills police and MedForce EMS assisted with the crash.
