HARRISBURG—Information from Keith Brown, Saline County Sheriff, has come in about yet another crash on the Bill Franks Bypass outside of Harrisburg, the second crash in three days this week.
The first accident occurred the night of May 26, when at 7:50 p.m., two cars collided at the intersection, with no one seriously injured.
The yesterday (Tuesday, May 28) at 12:15 p.m., Saline County Central Dispatch received several 911 calls about a possible rollover accident at the intersection of West Poplar and the Bypass. From this wreck, one person (reported by eyewitnesses to have been an older woman driving the red PT Cruiser in the photo) was taken to Harrisburg Medical Center, with another (a male) refusing treatment at the scene.
Both accidents, Brown said, are being investigated by Harrisburg Police. Apparently, no names have been released yet.
Brown says the intersection is a busy one and caution should be used when attempting to cross the Bill Franks Bypass. Traffic along the Bypass doesn’t have to stop, but the cross traffic on West Poplar is required to stop.
