ELDORADO—A couple of Eldorado residents graduated from traffic tickets to Kentucky theft charges today in an incident dating back to last year.
Elizabeth Rector, 35, and Derrick Donell Everett, 41, both of Eldorado, were charged with Theft over $500 in connection with thefts from Mid-American Machine in Mayfield, Ky., from which several air compressor parts and valuable metals were stolen between October 2012 and May 2013.
The theft charge is considered a Class D felony in Kentucky, and the two are being held in the Graves County Jail.
Our sources tell us that Rector was at one time married to Roy Kenneth Rector, Jr., the father of Aaron Rector, one of the Eldorado juveniles in the news lately, so she’s an ex-stepmother to the boy. Sources say she’s never been in trouble before other than a traffic ticket, and that they believe that because the elder Rector had never paid child support to her, she was drawn into something beyond her control when she made an effort to make some quick cash. It’s reported that she has raised her girls by herself and had done a great job up to this point, and was driven to desperation by lack of support from the father.
More on it as it becomes available.
