Here’s the latest podcast, dedicated to the start of the First Degree Murder trial of Tyler McQueen in Lawrence County.
By the way…we found out why there was confusion on Jimmy Lyle’s testimony today.
Turns out when the Illinois State Police were sent out to interview state’s witnesses, they were told “James Lyle in Lawrenceville.” They came to Lawrenceville and tracked down James Lyle…the older man who gave rides to the elderly people at the United Methodist Village every Sunday, to and from church, as part of his regular practice.
They didn’t realize, apparently, that they were supposed to interview JIMMY LYLE, LAWRENCEVILLE POLICE OFFICER, who didn’t take elderly people to and from UMV on Sundays.
So when they turned their paperwork over to the state, and the state was today questioning Jimmy Lyle…they were actually asking him questions about his FATHER’S interview.
Let’s hope this is the most minor of glitches in this trial, which is expected to last the rest of this week.
