WHITE/EDWARDS COs., Ill. - White County Sheriff Doug Maier reports that a warrant arrest was made rather easily yesterday afternoon in the Crossville area.
Maier said that a he was traveling on Illinois Route 14 east of Crossville, he saw a man walking alongside the highway.
Maier recognized the man as Donald Terrell, 47, of Crossville. Maier knew Terrell was wanted on an Edwards County warrant, so he stopped and took Terrell into custody.
Background information shows that Terrell has been on a pay-or-appear status in neighboring Edwards for a number of years, this after a conviction in a 2008 Theft count out of that county.
He apparently didn't make a POA date on December 23, 2016, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Terrell has been lodged in the White County jail on a $300 cash bond. He remained there as of this evening.
