MARION CO., Ill. - A family of four was sent to Salem Township Hospital late Christmas night in an interstate rollover accident.

Illinois State Police worked the wreck, which happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday, December 25.

According to preliminary investigative reports, a 2007 Ford motor home being driven by Jason Harmon, 30, of White Heath, Ill., was traveling I-57 southbound in the right lane of traffic, as was a 2015 Volvo truck-tractor being driven by Edward Kalisz, 60, of Oshawa, Ontario, directly behind the motor home.

At milepost 107, the motor home, which was towing a 2011 Buick, was rear-ended by the truck-tractor. The truck-tractor left the roadway to the right, rolling onto its side, then impacted the concrete bridge support. The motor home skidded sideways into the center median, rolling onto its side, and impacted the center concrete bridge support.

Harmon and three passengers, Jessica Harmon, 29, a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old, were all taken to Salem Township Hospital in Salem. There's been no word on their conditions.
