CLAY CO.—An autopsy was being conducted late this morning on the body of a woman found off U.S. 50 at Clay City earlier in the morning, 02.12.13.
Clay County Coroner Wes Miller advised Disclosure that the woman had been identified as Tracie Denise Hunt, 49, of Clay City.
According to reports coming in from Clay City residents, Hunt’s body was discovered at about 3 a.m., reportedly in a ditch running along the frontage road near Bradford Supply.
Illinois State Police are involved, and Disclosure staff spoke to Agent Albert Gallatin from ISP Dist. 12 in Effingham; however, he said that the results are incomplete, and toxicology being done won’t be available until three to six weeks from now.
Sources have indicated that Hunt’s body didn’t appear to have any trauma, but confirmation on this won’t be available until after the autopsy is completed.
