JASPER CO.—Illinois State Police Zone 7 investigations has issued a press release on the remains that were found last year in rural Jasper County, and apparently, a facial reconstructionist has been able to put together what authorities believe the deceased looked like. Below is the press release, and a photo of what was reconstructed:

The Illinois State Police Zone 7 Investigations Effingham, Jasper County Sheriff’s Department, and the Jasper County Coroner’s Office are requesting assistance in the identification of an unidentified male. Partial remains were located in rural Jasper County on March 12, 2012. Due to the poor condition of the skeletal remains they were sent to the FBI for facial approximation specialists to conduct an analysis. The FBI computer generated approximation is attached to this email. It should be emphasized this is an approximation only and should not be used in the same way as a photograph.

Anyone with information may contact Illinois State Police Lt Kelly Hodge at 217-342-2292 ext 201 or Sergeant Albert Gallatin at ext 207.
