SALINE CO — At approximately 3:15 pm today (Friday, December 14), Harrisburg police responded to a call by the State’s Attorney’s Office to be on the look out for a black male who was last seen reportedly screaming and hollering on the Saline County Courthouse steps.
Police located the man still hollering and screaming a block away on Church Street between Graf Ink Printing and the old Vern’s Tavern.
The suspect was initially reported to be laughing as police first approached him for questioning, which later turned violent and the suspect resisted arrest.
During the scuffle the suspect slammed his head into a parked minivan which caused profuse bleeding to his head.
The man is identified as one Jeremy Hodge.
A family member, according to police, says “he is most likely not on his medication.”
