CRAWFORD CO.—Parents of students at Robinson High School, as well as, it turns out, Red Hill High School in Bridgeport, were relieved to learn yesterday that their students were spared being videotaped nude.

The situation at RHS developed earlier this month when it was discovered that someone had placed a video camera in a location at one of the girls’ locker rooms at the school. Danny Bonnell, 28, of Robinson, has been charged with felony Unauthorized Videotaping after authorities managed to track it back to him and seize material in his home related to it.
Yesterday, Superintendent Josh Quick, who has been extremely up front and helpful to worried parents, sent this in an email to those in the school district:

Dear Parents,
The Robinson Police Department has received evidence back from the State Police in the case involving locker room video-taping at Robinson High School. With the assistance of jersey numbers and still photos of faces taken from the tapes, several students from Robinson High School and Red Hill High School have been identified on the tapes. The school districts are in the process of notifying the parents of the affected students. The Robinson Police Department will then follow up with brief interviews of the students.
Police have advised the school districts involved that they believe they are in possession of all video equipment and all recordings that were made. Only the investigating officers will have access to the recordings. The investigating officers report that there is no nudity on the recordings.
The two school districts will follow up with another message once all notifications of affected students are made. This is the extent of the information that we have at this time. Any inquiries beyond this information will be referred to the Robinson Police Department. We greatly appreciate your patience and support as we work through this unfortunate situation.

As far as we know, this is the first indication that there were other students besides Robinson’s potentially involved in the situation…but parents are saying they’re relieved to learn of the “no nudity” confirmation.
