SALINE/RICHLAND/LAWRENCE Cos., Ill.—An agreement was reached yesterday in Saline County court regarding an Order of Protection filed against a former cop with a history of domestic violence.
And the petitioner was none other than Disclosure staffer Angela Howser, for herself as well as on behalf of her 4-year-old granddaughter.
Appearing in front of Judge Todd Lambert yesterday in Harrisburg, an Emergency Order of Protection Howser received on November 3, 2014, was extended for another two weeks and was transferred to the jurisdiction of Richland County, where on November 7, a guardianship was entered for the Howsers on behalf of the minor child….the one whom the Howsers had guardianship of from November 10, 2010, to March 23, 2014.
What’s going on in this case? You have no further to look for an explanation than the front page of this month’s (November 2014) issue of Disclosure, where in a multi-part series, we lay out in great detail what we’ve been enduring for months at the hand of Josh Green, a former police officer for nearly every policing entity in Lawrence County (Sumner, Bridgeport, Lawrenceville and Lawrence County) as well as the village of Palestine in Crawford County…from which, as in a couple of his previous cop gigs, he was either let go or forced to resign due to bad behavior. What kind of bad behavior? Those familiar with this character will remember the domestic battery in Wabash County that was pled down to simple battery so he could keep his police certification, as well as the one in March of this year that occurred while he was on duty, in uniform and driving the village’s cruiser.
And that’s just the start. Those with an online membership to the e-Edition can learn more about what the average person has to put up with from the likes of Green here, here, and here. We’ve been enduring it for months. It’s hurt our business, eroded our time, removed us for six weeks from the affections of the child we raised, cost us an untold fortune in uncharged thefts from credit cards and the corporation, another small fortune in cleanup and repair at our house in Calhoun, and now, a much larger fortune in attorney bills as we seek to rectify the damage that’s been done all across the board.
But the bottom line is this: An adult child doesn’t need her parents intervening in her personal life; that intervention is really only warranted if that adult child is employed by her parents as well as is beholden to them for anything else she has in her life as provided by them (a house, a vehicle, any other amenities/benefits). That adult child can make her own decisions and determine her own future. A 4-year-old can’t; that child has no voice. So it’s up to the responsible adults in that child’s life to step in and ensure that child is protected at all costs…small fortune OR large. That’s our core belief, and we will fight to the death for it. We hope you agree with us. And so we also hope that if you don’t have an online membership to the e-Edition, you go ahead and get one…so you can read the utter horror we’ve been through since about March of this year…and are still enduring. Here’s your evening Read the Lead, Violent former cop focus of multi-county battles.

SALINE/RICHLAND/LAWRENCE Cos.—A former Disclosure staffer has been arrested on two criminal counts, and the façade her former law enforcement husband has carefully constructed around himself and his family is beginning to crumble as bad decisions made by the two caused them to lose custody of her daughter.
Jade Wingard Green, 23, daughter of Disclosure co-owner Angela Howser, has been charged with a felony Deceptive Practice count in Saline and a misdemeanor Theft in Lawrence, these coming after a failed attempt to get an Order of Protection against her stepfather, Disclosure owner Jack Howser, dating back to September 19.
And all of it comes on the heels of the apparent destruction wrought on Wingard’s life by her new husband, former Lawrence County/Lawrenceville/Sumner/Bridgeport and Palestine police officer, Josh Green, 29, whose years of machinations with OPs in his own life are now starting to backfire on him.
Further, information has now emerged that shows that an “attack” on Green last summer in Vincennes might not be everything he has been saying it was…with revelations that may end up causing him to be charged with a significant crime in Knox County, Indiana, if indeed they prove to be the case.
Convicted meth felon hooked up with cop
Regular readers will recall that Wingard is a convicted meth felon (dating back to 2010) and lost custody of her then-infant daughter to her parents, who raised the child, then took Wingard back in when she cleaned up her life about a year after her arrest.
Wingard obtained full custody of the now-four-and-a-half year old girl in April 2013 on a “trial” basis while she struggled in mediation with the little girl’s father.
The one-year ‘trial’ period was up in April of 2014, about a month after the Howsers relinquished guardianship of the little girl, and about two months after Wingard’s meth felony probation ended. However, when mediation failed, the custody matter was set for court hearings in order to come up with an equitable solution in Family court.
That, too, however, was marred by conflict: By April 2014, Wingard was seeing Green, something she’d been doing for nearly two years but not out in the open, as he was not allowed, per the policies of the police departments he’d been working for, to consort with a felon on probation.
From about April, Wingard’s behavior, toward job responsibilities, her daughter, the home she was living in in Calhoun rent-free (belonging to the Howsers) and pretty much everything but Green deteriorated from that point…and never improved.
Concerned about what they were seeing, the Howsers took the opportunity of Green living in the home by April to convince Wingard that her little girl could do better by taking her to their home in Harrisburg more frequently, giving Wingard more alone time with her new beau. Wingard happily agreed, and this became the rule until things became more weird with Green’s presence….
