LAWRENCEVILLE, Ill.—An overnight incident at Casey’s in Lawrenceville has left one of the front windows busted out and one person arrested.
The vandalism has left a big mess for the little convenience store, located on outer State Street (Business 50) on the east side of town.
The incident was reported to have occurred at about 12:30 a.m. this morning, Tuesday, October 21, 2014.
According to Lawrenceville Police Chief Jim White, the suspect was captured, and fortunately, did not access the store.
Our sources are advising us that Crime Scene Investigators from Illinois State Police were present at the store earlier this morning (about 6:30) gathering information.
